1/8 Finals Round 2: Niigata Albirex - Iwate Big Bulls 66-83

Iwate Big Bulls rallied past Niigata Albirex to seal their quarterfinal appearance. The game was mostly controlled by Iwate Big Bulls. Niigata Albirex was better in third quarter 17-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Iwate Big Bulls players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American forward Patrick Sanders (201-85, college: Cal-Irvine, agency: Interperformances) notched 33 points (!!!) and 4 assists to lead the effort and Nigerian forward Abdullahi Kuso (206-84, college: Tallahassee CC) supported him with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Four Iwate Big Bulls players scored in double figures. Even 22 points by American swingman Wayne Arnold (193-84, college: Tennessee St.) did not help to save the game for Niigata Albirex. Jamaican-American power forward Ryan Reid (204-86, college: Florida St., agency: Comsport) added 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the hosts.
