Liepaja/Triobet held off Jurmala to secure their semifinal birth. Jurmala trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 20-10 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 83-86 at the end of the game. 26 personal fouls committed by Jurmala helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for American point guard David Hicks (183-88, college: LIU Brooklyn) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points and 5 rebounds. Toms Leimanis (188-94) helped adding 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Liepaja/Triobet players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Edmunds Elksnis (187-90) with 19 points and 9 rebounds and the former international point guard Edgars Jeromanovs (186-86) scored 20 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
