The game without a history. Brujos led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Brujos outrebounded Manati 40-29 including 29 on the defensive glass. Naturalized American guard Darnell Hinson (185-80, college: Northeastern St.) notched a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 assists to lead the effort and American forward Eugene Phelps (198-90, college: Long Beach St.) supported him with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Even a double-double of 13 points and 14 rebounds by Irish-Australian center Andrew James Ogilvy (211-88, college: Vanderbilt) did not help to save the game for Manati. Naturalized Mexican guard Joseph Soto (190-93) added 19 points for lost side. Five Brujos and four Manati players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Brujos have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Aguada. Loser Manati keeps the ninth position with 18 games lost. Brujos will meet at home bottom-ranked Indios (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Manati will play against the league's second-placed Vaqueros and hope to secure a win.
