No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Piratas (17-17) beat bottom-ranked Indios (11-21) in Quebradillas 90-86 on Tuesday. The hosts trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 4 points. American forward Jordan Glynn (200-89, college: SF Austin) notched 21 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international center Jorge Bryan Diaz (210-89, college: Nebraska) supported him with 14 points. Piratas' coach Luis Cancel used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Even 32 points and 6 rebounds by Alexander Galindo (200-85, college: FIU) did not help to save the game for Indios. American Josh Powell (206-83, college: N.Carolina St.) added 19 points and 11 rebounds for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Piratas moved-up to seventh place. Indios lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 21 games lost. Piratas will meet at home Atleticos (#10) in the next round. Indios will play against Brujos in Guayama and hope to secure a win.
