The guests trailed by 9 points at the halftime before their 25-11 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Nice dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Nantes Reze's 36. German forward Romy Baer (187-87) stepped up and scored 24 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winners and Mali center Djene Diawara (192-85, agency: Comsport) chipped in 11 points and 12 rebounds. Nice's coach Rachid Meziane used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side Canadian-British guard Shona Thorburn (178-82, college: Utah) responded with 24 points and point guard Isis Arrondo (166-89) scored 15 points and 5 assists.
