Semi-Finals Game 3: Gembo BBC - Houthalen 73-76

Houthalen topped Gembo BBC in the decisive third game of the series and sealed their Division I Finals appearance. Gembo BBC trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 25-15 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 73-76 at the end of the game. Houthalen forced 19 Gembo BBC turnovers. The best player for the winners was naturalized American guard Ronnie McCollum (192-78, college: Centenary, LA) who scored 27 points and 7 rebounds (went 12 for 12 at the free throw line !!!). Point guard Chiel Koonings (180-90) chipped in 14 points. At the other side the best for losing team was center Anthony Vermeersch (202-90) who recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and French swingman Nicolas Wachowiak (200-91) added 20 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Gembo BBC's coach Jeroen Oosters tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help.
