BSN top team - Cangrejeros (20-14) managed to deliver another win on Thursday. This time they beat sixth ranked Caciques (17-17) in Humacao 78-68. The game was mostly controlled by Cangrejeros. Caciques managed to win fourth quarter 20-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was the former international Michael Rosario (190-90, college: Florida) who scored 30 points. American forward Damion James (201-87, college: Texas, agency: Priority Sports) chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds. Forward William Orozco (201-85, agency: Paris Global Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and Dominican forward Jack Michael Martinez (201-81) added 17 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively for the hosts. Four Caciques players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cangrejeros maintains first place with 20-14 record. Caciques lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with 17 games lost. They share it with Quebradillas. Cangrejeros will meet Capitanes (#6) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Caciques will play against Brujos and hope to secure a win.
