Burgos eked out a narrow home win over Penas Huesca in the opener. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 27-18. But Lobe Huesca won third quarter 25-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of Croatian center Matija Poscic (206-85, college: De Paul) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 5 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Point guard Roger Vilanova (181-87) contributed with 8 points and 9 assists for the winners. Poscic is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Serbian center Goran Huskic (210-92, college: Howard Col., TX) answered with 25 points and 7 rebounds and Brazilian power forward Daniel Bordignon (206-96) added 10 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Lobe Huesca. Lobe Huesca's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
