Regular Season Round 31: Mazatlan - Hermosillo 93-110

An interesting game for Rayos de Hermosillo (21-7) which played road game in Mazatlan against their biggest opponent Lobos UAD Mazatlan (19-12). First ranked Rayos de Hermosillo had an easy win 110-93. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Lobos UAD Mazatlan. Rayos de Hermosillo dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Lobos UAD Mazatlan's 44. American players dominated the game. It was a great evening for swingman Michael Craig (196-91, college: S.Mississippi) who led his team to a victory scoring 37 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds. Forward Emmanuel Little (196-85, college: N.Dakota) helped adding 21 points. Little is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side point guard Curtis Stinson (191-83, college: Iowa St.) responded with 22 points and 6 rebounds and guard Jeff Ledbetter (190-88, college: Idaho) scored 18 points and 5 steals. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rayos de Hermosillo have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place with 21-7 record. Lobos UAD Mazatlan at the other side keeps the second position with 12 games lost. Rayos de Hermosillo will play against Ostioneros de Guaymas (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Lobos UAD Mazatlan will have a break next round.
