Finals Game 1: Sokol H.K. - Opava B 57-73

Opava B outgunned Sokol HK to claim 1Liga title. It looked good early as Sokol Hradec Kralove took a 4-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then B&W Opava B had a 20-10 second period charge getting the lead and Sokol Hradec Kralove was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 57-73. B&W Opava B made 28-of-36 charity shots (77.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 23 Sokol Hradec Kralove turnovers. Sokol Hradec Kralove was plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of center Miroslav Kvapil (198-93) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Rostislav Dragoun (192-96) contributed with 13 points for the winners. Four B&W Opava B players scored in double figures. Slovakian center Peter Majerik (207-85) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and David Sirek (195-91) added 7 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Sokol Hradec Kralove. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
