Sokhumi rallied past Kutaisi to even the semifinal series. The guests trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 29-18 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Sokhumi looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. 26 personal fouls committed by Kutaisi helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American point guard Phillip Miller (185-91, college: Wiley) scored 22 points and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and center Sergo Atuashvili (223-85) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Guard Levan Tsekvava (190-89) responded with 16 points and 5 assists and the former international center Richard Matiashvili (207-89) scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. Five Kutaisi players scored in double figures. Kutaisi's coach Kote Tugushi rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
