Not a big story in a game when 8th ranked Gran Canaria (11-15) lost at home to third ranked Quintanar (18-8) 66-62 on Sunday. Gran Canaria was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Chadian center Placide Nakidjim (205-94) orchestrated the victory by scoring 13 points. Cuban point guard Taylor Garcia (182-87) contributed with 12 points and 4 assists for the winners. Senegalese forward Mouhamed Barro (205-95) answered with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds and guard Joaquin Portugues (185-95) added 3 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for Gran Canaria. Gran Canaria's coach Pepe Carrion tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Quintanar have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place in Group B, which they share with Alcazar. Loser Gran Canaria keeps the eighth position with 15 games lost.
