Rather expected game when 15th ranked La ICL Manresa (10-21) was defeated at home by twelfth ranked Sevilla (13-18) 72-65 on Sunday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 21-14. But La ICL Manresa won second period 23-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Sevilla forced 20 La ICL Manresa turnovers. It was a great evening for American swingman Scott Bamforth (188-89, college: Weber St., agency: Beo Basket) who led his team to a victory scoring 14 points. Czech center Ondrej Balvin (217-92) helped adding 10 points and 9 rebounds. At the losing side Serbian center Dejan Musli (213-91, agency: Beo Basket) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds and Lithuanian forward Marius Grigonis (198-94) scored 13 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Sevilla moved-up to eleventh place. La ICL Manresa lost their third game in a row. They keep the fifteenth position with 21 games lost. Sevilla will face Andorra (#12) at home in the next round. La ICL Manresa will play against Dominion BB in Bilbao and hope to win that game.
