Quarter-Finals Round 3: Cecina - Valsesia 65-82

Valsesia topped Cecina in the decider and reached the semifinal stage. Valsesia shot 32 for 43 from the free-throw line, while Cecina only scored five points from the stripe. Cecina was plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for forward Dario Zucca (201-96) who led his team to a victory with 17 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Point guard Francesco Paolin (189-95) contributed with 12 points for the winners. Four Valsesia players scored in double figures. Point guard Lorenzo Caroti (185-97) answered with 18 points and power forward Antonio Gambolati (205-81, agency: Interperformances) added 11 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Cecina. Cecina's coach Federico Campanella tested ten players seeing no chance for a win.
