No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Caciques (19-17) beat on the road 10th ranked Manati (15-21) 92-81 on Monday. The game was mostly controlled by Caciques. Manati managed to win third quarter 32-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Manati 42-29 including a 34-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Caciques looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American forward Onzie Branch (198, college: Gardner-Webb) nailed a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side and forward William Orozco (201-85, agency: Paris Global Sports) accounted for 13 points and 10 rebounds. Caciques' coach Flor Melendez used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Naturalized Mexican guard Joseph Soto (190-93) came up with 35 points (!!!) and 6 assists and American forward Landon Milbourne (201-87, college: Maryland) added 24 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Manati in the defeat. Caciques maintains fifth place with 19-17 record. Manati lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 21 games lost.
