The game between third ranked Capitanes (20-16) and 11th ranked Indios (12-24) in Arecibo on Tuesday ended with biggest points difference. Capitanes beat guests from Mayaguez 94-82. The game was mostly controlled by Capitanes. Indios managed to win fourth quarter 25-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Capitanes shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 53.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American center Cady Lalanne (208-92, college: Massachusetts) nailed 15 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winning side and international forward Renaldo Balkman (203-84, college: S.Carolina) accounted for 16 points. Four Capitanes players scored in double figures. International forward Kevin Young (203-90, college: Kansas, agency: Paris Global Sports) came up with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and international Ramon Clemente (200-85, college: Wichita St.) added 16 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Indios in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Capitanes have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain third place with 20-16 record behind leader Bayamon, which they share with Aguada. Indios lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 24 games lost.
