Oostende outlasted visiting Liege in the opening game of the playoffs. The hosts were already 14 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 22-12 Liege Basket's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 77-73 at the end of the game. Oostende players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. International guard Quentin Serron (190-90) stepped up and scored 12 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and Serbian guard Dusan Djordjevic (193-83, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 10 points and 7 assists. Oostende's coach Dario Gjergja allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side American center Killian Larson (206-91, college: Grand Canyon) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds and the other American import forward Dominique Morrison (198-89, college: ORU) scored 17 points. Four Oostende and five Liege Basket players scored in double figures.
