Semi-Finals Game 1: Stelmet ZG - Energa Czarni 93-73

Stelmet Zielona Gora cruised past Energa Czarni to open win count in the semifinal series. The game was mostly controlled by Stelmet. Energa Czarni was better in third quarter 19-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 23-of-29 charity shots (79.3 percent) during the game, while Energa Czarni only scored five points from the stripe. Stelmet forced 20 Energa Czarni turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Energa Czarni was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. International swingman Mateusz Ponitka (196-93) nailed 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side and Romanian Vlad Moldoveanu (206-88, college: American, agency: Beo Basket) accounted for 20 points and 4 assists. Four Stelmet players scored in double figures. American point guard Jerel Blassingame (175-81, college: UNLV) came up with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists and the other American import guard Demonte Harper (193-89, college: Morehead St.) added 14 points respectively for Energa Czarni in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
