Lourdes defeated Caen to even the quarterfinal series. The game was mostly controlled by Lourdes-Tarbes. Caen managed to win third quarter 18-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Caen 34-20 including a 28-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Lourdes-Tarbes shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was Lithuanian forward Darius Tarvydas (200-91) who scored 23 points and 8 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Guard Sebastien Cape (184-93) chipped in 21 points and 8 assists. American forward Bill Clark (196-88, college: Duquesne, agency: HMS) produced 21 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and Serbian-Montenegrin center Nemanja Calasan (204-85, college: Purdue) added 19 points and 5 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) respectively for the guests. Five Lourdes-Tarbes and four Caen players scored in double figures. Caen's coach Herve Coudray rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
