Finals Game 1: Okinawa GK - Toyama Grouses 86-74

Okinawa Golden Kings celebrated BJ League title. They overcame Toyama Grouses in the championship game to claim the fourth trophy in nine seasons in the League. Okinawa GK led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Okinawa GK outrebounded Toyama Grouses 45-34 including 33 on the defensive glass. Americans were the main players on the court. Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) stepped up with a triple-double by scoring 10 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners and power forward Evan Ravenel (203-89, college: Ohio St.) chipped in 22 points and 12 rebounds. Four Okinawa GK players scored in double figures. At the losing side Drew Viney (204-88, college: Loyola Mary) responded with 19 points and forward Sam Willard (205-88, college: Pacific) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
