Crema escaped with a narrow road win over La Spezia in the semifinal series opener. La Spezia was trailing by 5 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 10-7 charge of Team Crema, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated on the defensive end, holding La Spezia to just 7 points in fourth quarter. They outrebounded La Spezia 48-35 including 34 on the defensive glass. Latvian forward Ieva Veinberga (185-84) fired a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Guard Paola Caccialanza (175-89) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. Latvian power forward Lauma Reke (185-86, college: St.Peter's) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 19 rebounds and forward Elisabetta Linguaglossa (184-87) added 8 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side.
