Quarter-Finals Round 1: Monaco - Nanterre 93-76

Monaco cruised past Nanterre for the opening victory in the playoffs. The game was mostly controlled by Monaco. JSF Nanterre was better in fourth quarter 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Monaco players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized Polish Aaron Cel (203-87) who helped to win the game recording 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. American Jamal Shuler (191-86) contributed with 22 points for the winners. International center Mouhammadou Jaiteh (208-94) answered with 19 points and 5 rebounds and American forward Tasmin Mitchell (201-86, college: LSU) added 14 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for JSF Nanterre. Four Monaco and five JSF Nanterre players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
