Quarter-Finals Round 3: Santurce - Guayama 91-87

Santurce defeated Guayama for the third straight win. The hosts trailed by 13 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 4 points. Cangrejeros made 25-of-32 free shots (78.1 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Ansel Guzman (174-84) who scored 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. American forward Damion James (201-87, college: Texas, agency: Priority Sports) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international power forward Ricardo Sanchez (212-87, agency: Beo Basket) who recorded 18 points and 5 assists and naturalized American guard Darnell Hinson (185-80, college: Northeastern St.) added 15 points and 6 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game.
