Vasco Da Gama celebrated the second straight victory in the semifinal series versus Ginastico. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 32-21 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Vasco Da G. forced 19 Ginastico turnovers. American Robby Collum (185-81, college: W.Michigan) scored 20 points and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international point guard Helio Vitor Lima (185-81) chipped in 17 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) during the contest. Fabricio Russo (196-85) responded with 13 points and 8 rebounds and forward Fernando Alvim (201-80) scored 16 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Ginastico's coach Jefferrson Teixeira rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
