Semi-Finals Game 1: Grissin Bon RE - Scandone AV 83-69

Grissin Bon RE cruised past Scandone Avellino for 1-0 lead. It looked good early as Scandone AV took a 5-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Grissin Bon RE had a 23-13 second period charge getting the lead and Scandone AV was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 69-83. Grissin Bon RE players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of international forward Achille Polonara (203-91) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds. The former international Pietro Aradori (194-88) contributed with 11 points for the winners. American-Liberian point guard Joe Ragland (182-89, college: Wichita St.) answered with 16 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and American forward James Nunnally (201-90, college: UCSB) added 13 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Scandone AV. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
