Quarter-Finals Round 3: Le Mans - Gravelines 83-77

Le Mans held off Gravelines in the decisive third game of the quarterfinal series and sealed their semifinal appearance. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Le Mans made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was Romeo Travis (201-84, college: Akron) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists. Point guard Tywain McKee (188-86, college: Coppin St.) chipped in 14 points and 6 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). At the other side the best for losing team was Steven Gray (196-89, college: Gonzaga) who recorded 23 points and center Graham Brown (206-84, college: Michigan) added 12 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Five Le Mans and four Gravelines-Dunkerque players scored in double figures.
