Guayama rallied past Santurce in overtime to extend the series. The guests were already 12 points ahead at halftime and as many as 13 after three quarters before a 23-10 last quarter charge of Cangrejeros tied the game, but they lost it eventually overtime period 21-26. Brujos made 34-of-42 charity shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Strangely Cangrejeros outrebounded Brujos 47-33 including a 20-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Cangrejeros were plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. Naturalized American guard Darnell Hinson (185-80, college: Northeastern St.) nailed 34 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 8 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winning side and American forward Eugene Phelps (198-90, college: Long Beach St.) accounted for 23 points and 9 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). The former international Michael Rosario (190-90, college: Florida) came up with 28 points and 6 rebounds and American forward Damion James (201-87, college: Texas, agency: Priority Sports) added 20 points and 13 rebounds respectively for Cangrejeros in the defeat. Five Cangrejeros players scored in double figures. Cangrejeros' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game.
