Cassino knocked down Palestrina to take 2-1 lead. Cassino shot 61.0 percent from the field and made 20-of-22 charity shots (90.9 percent) during the game. Cassino outrebounded Palestrina 37-16 including a 27-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Cassino especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 33 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Palestrina's players. It was an exceptional evening for guard Daniele Grilli (191-87) who led the winners and scored 27 points and 5 assists. Guard Filiberto Dri (190-89) accounted for 18 points and 6 assists for the winning side. Four Cassino players scored in double figures. Matteo Pierangeli (201-92) came up with 24 points and point guard Simone Rischia (185-90) added 15 points and 4 assists respectively for Palestrina in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
