Quarter-Finals Round 5: Bayamon - Quebradillas 78-70

Bayamon overcame Quebradillas to win the quarterfinal series. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 78-70. Vaqueros had a 33-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. American guard Clay Tucker (196-80, college: Wisc.-Milwaukee) stepped up and scored 24 points and 4 assists for the winners and the former international center Peter Ramos (222-85) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds. American forward Brian Conklin (198-89, college: St.Louis) responded with 19 points and 7 rebounds and the former international center Jorge Bryan Diaz (210-89, college: Nebraska) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Piratas' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
