Quarter-Finals Round 2: Bnei Hertzeliyya - Maccabi T-A 51-68

Maccabi Tel-Aviv stepped closer to the semifinal stage as they handed the second loss to Bnei Herzeliyya. The game was mostly controlled by Maccabi T-A. Bnei Hasharon was better in fourth quarter 15-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Maccabi T-A players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American-Nigerian power forward Trevor Mbakwe (207-89, college: Minnesota, agency: Pensack Sports) orchestrated the victory by scoring 13 points and 9 rebounds. American-Nigerian Ike Ofoegbu (205-84, college: SMU) contributed with 8 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Aviram Zelkovits (192-89) replied with 19 points and American guard Drew Crawford (196-90, college: Northwestern) added 11 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Bnei Hasharon. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
