Scandone Avellino posted the second straight home win over Grissin Bon RE to draw things level in the series. The game without a history. Scandone AV led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Grissin Bon RE's 32. They outrebounded Grissin Bon RE 42-25 including a 31-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Scandone AV especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Grissin Bon RE's players. Croatian power forward Ivan Buva (208-91) fired 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Lithuanian guard Benas Veikalas (192-83, college: Metro St.) chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds. Five Scandone AV players scored in double figures. International Amedeo Della Valle (192-93, college: Ohio St., agency: BeoBasket) produced 10 points and American point guard Derek Needham (180-90, college: Fairfield) added 9 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
