Quarter-Finals Round 1: Evreux - Poitiers 92-87

Evreux secured the winning start to their playoff campaign as they defeated Poitiers. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Poitiers won third quarter 25-23. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Poitiers 50-34 including a 36-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. ALM Evreux players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Poitiers was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Joe Burton (201-90, college: Oregon St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 15 rebounds and 7 assists. His fellow American import swingman Drake Reed (194-87, college: Austin Peay St., agency: Inception Sports) contributed with 18 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American-British power forward Laurence Ekperigin (201-88, college: Le Moyne) answered with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and Pierre-Yves Guillard (201-84) added 19 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Poitiers. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
