Stelmet Zielona Gora survived an overtime thriller to open 1-0 lead on Rosa Radom in TBL Finals. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Rosa won fourth quarter 25-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening, at least not yet. The game turned upside-down in the last quarter, where Rosa used huge pressure winning it 25-16 getting a tie at the end of regular time. They lost eventually overtime period 12-18. They outrebounded Rosa 53-35 including a 38-27 advantage in defensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Stelmet made 8 blocks. Rosa was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. American point guard Dee Bost (188-89, college: Mississippi St., agency: Three Eye Sports) stepped up and scored 26 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and Romanian Vlad Moldoveanu (206-88, college: American, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 13 points and 11 rebounds. At the losing side international swingman Michal Sokolowski (196-92) responded with 23 points and 7 rebounds and American point guard Torey Thomas (178-85, college: Holy Cross) scored 12 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
