Scandone Avellino rallied past Grissin Bon RE to force the decisive seventh game in the semifinal series. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Scandone AV looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American-Liberian point guard Joe Ragland (182-89, college: Wichita St.) who scored 23 points. International center Riccardo Cervi (214-91) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Lithuanian Rimantas Kaukenas (192-77, college: Seton Hall) who recorded 22 points (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and Montenegrin-Serbian center Vladimir Golubovic (212-86, agency: BeoBasket) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
