Quarter-Finals Round 2: Unicaja - Valencia 59-88

Valencia knocked down Unicaja in Malaga to sweep the quarterfinal series. The game was mostly controlled by Valencia Basket. Unicaja Malaga managed to win second period 17-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Valencia Basket made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American-Croatian center Justin Hamilton (213-90, college: LSU, agency: Priority Sports) scored 22 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and French point guard Antoine Diot (193-89, agency: Comsport) chipped in 12 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Four Valencia Basket players scored in double figures. Serbian point guard Nemanja Nedovic (191-91, agency: BeoBasket) responded with 17 points and American-Georgian Will Thomas (203-86, agency: Two Points) scored 7 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
