Semi-Finals Game 7: Grissin Bon RE - Scandone AV 85-80

Grissin Bon RE held off Scandone Avellino in the decisive seventh game of the semifinal series to join Emporio Armani in the championship series. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 24-17. But Scandone AV won second period 19-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Lithuanian Rimantas Kaukenas (192-77, college: Seton Hall) fired 17 points and 5 assists for the winners. International Amedeo Della Valle (192-93, college: Ohio St., agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 14 points and 5 assists. American forward James Nunnally (201-90, college: UCSB) produced 23 points and 5 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and Croatian power forward Ivan Buva (208-91) added 22 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five Grissin Bon RE and four Scandone AV players scored in double figures. Scandone AV's coach Stefano Sacripanti rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
