Finals Game 4: Panathinaikos - Olympiacos 81-82

Date: May 30, 2016
Olympiacos are crowned A1 champions. They survived a double-overtime drama against Panathinaikos to post the decisive victory. It all came down to the final seconds in the second overtime. Vassilis Spanoulis stepped up with late heroics for the visitors. He drained a massive three-pointer and carried the Reds to the trophy. The guests trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 21-15 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to level things up. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Vassilis Spanoulis (193-82, agency: BeoBasket) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 6 assists and Liberian-American power forward Othello Hunter (203-86, college: Ohio St., agency: David Lee Services) who added 14 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Olympiacos' coach Giannis Sfairopoulos used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side the former international point guard Dimitris Diamantidis (196-80) responded with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international Nikos Pappas (194-90) scored 16 points and 9 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
