Semi-Finals Game 2: Real Madrid - Valencia 97-88

Real Madrid outgunned Valencia to jump to 2-0 lead in the series. The hosts were ahead by 2 points but lost the second period ending it with a 1-point deficit before their 35-25 run, which allowed them to win the game. Valencia Basket was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Mexican power forward Gustavo Ayon (207-85, college: San Jose St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 15 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). International Sergio Llull (190-87) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Four Real Madrid players scored in double figures. Montenegrin Bojan Dubljevic (205-91, agency: BeoBasket) replied with 19 points and 8 rebounds and French point guard Antoine Diot (193-89, agency: Comsport) added 13 points and 6 assists in the effort for Valencia Basket. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
