Maccabi Rishon shocked Maccabi Tel Aviv to advance into Winner League Final. The guests trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 16-12 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Maccabi Rishon dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Maccabi T-A's 28. Maccabi Rishon forced 19 Maccabi T-A turnovers. Strangely Maccabi T-A outrebounded Maccabi Rishon 40-26 including a 17-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. American power forward Darryl Monroe (201-86, college: George Mason) stepped up and scored 20 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import point guard Mark Lyons (185-89, college: Arizona) chipped in 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. At the losing side American-Montenegrin point guard Taylor Rochestie (185-85, college: Washington St.) responded with 20 points and American-Nigerian power forward Trevor Mbakwe (207-89, college: Minnesota, agency: Pensack Sports) scored 7 points and 14 rebounds. Maccabi T-A's coach Zan Tabak tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help.
