Quarter-Finals Round 1: Mazatlan - Obregon 104-94

Mazatlan victoriously opened their playoff campaign. Mazatlan beat Obregon in the opener. The game was mostly controlled by Lobos UAD Mazatlan. Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon was better in fourth quarter 30-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Lobos UAD Mazatlan made 29-of-32 charity shots (90.6 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three nailing 15 long-distance shots on high 55.6 percentage. Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Jeff Ledbetter (190-88, college: Idaho) stepped up and scored 36 points (!!!) and 4 assists for the winners and Canadian forward Marvell Waithe (205-87, college: Arkansas) chipped in 23 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Lobos UAD Mazatlan's coach Eric Weissling allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side naturalized American swingman Adam Arciniega (201, college: Bethel, KS) responded with 24 points and 5 rebounds and American forward Taylor Brown (198-89, college: Bradley) scored 19 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
