Quarter-Finals Round 3: Obregon - Mazatlan 79-107

Mazatlan cruised past Obregon for 3-0 lead in the series. The game was mostly controlled by Lobos UAD Mazatlan. Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon managed to win fourth quarter 20-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Jeff Ledbetter (190-88, college: Idaho) who led the winners and scored 23 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 8 steals. His fellow American import point guard Curtis Stinson (191-83, college: Iowa St.) accounted for 18 points and 5 assists for the winning side. Five Lobos UAD Mazatlan players scored in double figures. American forward Taylor Brown (198-89, college: Bradley) came up with 14 points and 6 rebounds and guard Marco Valenzuela (185-81) added 11 points respectively for Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
