Final Four Round 2: Montegrano - Forli 57-77

Forli claimed the third ticket to Serie A2. They beat Montegrano in the second day of Final Four to secure the promotion. The game was mostly controlled by Forli. Montegrano managed to win fourth quarter 23-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Montegrano to just 4 points in third quarter. Forli dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Montegrano's 24. Forli forced 21 Montegrano turnovers. 27 personal fouls committed by Montegrano helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was forward Marco Arrigoni (199-91, agency: SPORTlab Agency) who scored 17 points. Forward Riccardo Pederzini (198-89) chipped in 13 points. Four Forli players scored in double figures. Guard Simone Di Trani (185-83) produced 15 points and 5 assists and Massimiliano Sanna (195-88) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
