Los Mochis avoided elimination as they beat Hermosillo at home court. Pioneros Los Mochis made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American Leon Gibson (206-91, college: Houston) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds. The other American import guard Cameron Mitchell (193, college: IU Southeast) contributed with 16 points and 8 assists for the winners. Pioneros Los Mochis' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Emmanuel Little (196-85, college: N.Dakota) replied with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international point guard Steve Monreal (180-86, college: CS Monterey) added 10 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for Rayos de Hermosillo. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures.
