Puerto Rico bounced back from the starting loss at the tournament and thumped Nicaragua in the second game. Ramon Clemente stepped up with 22 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Puerto Rico established a 47:25 halftime lead. They sank 51 points in the second half to rally to the victory. Guillermo Diaz netted 11 points for the winners. Serbio Abea responded with 19 points for Nicaragua.
