Dominican Republic celebrated the third straight victory in Panama City. They overcame Mexico to remain perfect in Group B. Eloy Vargas netted 20 points for the winning side. Dominican Republic and Mexico were tied at 33 after twenty minutes of action. Dominican Republic however raised the tempo in the third term. They cleared off to an 8-point lead heading into the fourth quarter. Dominican Republic sank 29 points in the final period and secured the winning outcome at the end. Angel Delgado produced 17 points for the winners. Jorge Gutierrez responded with 21 points and 6 rebounds for Mexico.
