Canada got to the winning start in Valdivia. They stormed past Argentina in the opener. Lindell Wigginton posted 21 points to lead the North American side. Canada dropped 29 points in the second term to open a 15-point halftime lead. They went on a 29:10 run in the third term to clear off for good. Nickeil Alexander-Walker produced 17 points in the win. Lautaro Berra responded with 14 points for Argentina.
