Regular Season Round 20: Kalamunda E.S. - Willetton T. 104-125

Date: July 23, 2016
Everything went according to plan in Kalamunda where fifth ranked Tigers (16-9) outscored 12th ranked Suns (6-19) 125-104 on Saturday. Tigers forced 23 Suns turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Tigers made 12 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Jay Bowie (196-92, college: Marist) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 7 rebounds and L Evans who added 27 points during the contest. Four Tigers players scored in double figures. American guard Courtney Belger (187-89, college: Quincy) responded with 30 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals and Timothy Squire scored 18 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Tigers maintains fifth position in League with 16-9 record. Loser Suns keep the twelfth place with 19 games lost. Tigers will face Redbacks (#6) in Northbridge in the next round. Suns will play on the road against Hawks (#8) in Floreat and hope to win that game.
