Rather expected game in Alexandria where bottom-ranked Bruins (0-15) were rolled over by seventh ranked Comets (6-9) 63-44 on Saturday. Comets held Bruins to an opponent 22.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 35.3 percent accuracy of the winners. Comets forced 25 Bruins turnovers. Bree Delaney fired 14 points for the winners. Jaimee Cohen chipped in 6 points and 12 rebounds. Kelly Wells produced 4 points and 11 rebounds and Kellie Parker added 3 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Comets maintains seventh place in League with 6-9 record. Loser Bruins still closes the standings with 15 games lost. Comets will face higher ranked North Bears (#6) in Crows Nest in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
