There was no surprise when 12th ranked Bulleen Boomers (1-19) were outplayed at home by second ranked Waverley Falcons (16-4) 102-68 on Saturday. Waverley Falcons forced 20 Bulleen Boomers turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Bulleen Boomers' players. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Chris Arkell (198-90) who helped to win the game recording 30 points and center Matthew Hodgson (211-91, college: St.Mary's, CA) who added 15 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Five Waverley Falcons players scored in double figures. Forward Ryan Oirbans (206-92) responded with 10 points and 6 rebounds and Thomas Kielty scored 12 points. Waverley Falcons maintains second position in League with 16-4 record having just three point less than leader Geelong S. Loser Bulleen Boomers keep the twelfth place with 19 games lost. Waverley Falcons will face Magic (#10) in Hawthorn in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bulleen Boomers will play on the road against Whittlesea City in Mill Park and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
