Regular Season Round 20: Ringwood H. - Hume City 109-95

Everything went according to plan in Heathmont where third ranked Ringwood Hawks (15-6) beat 7th ranked Hume City Broncos (11-10) 109-95 on Saturday. Ringwood Hawks made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. Ringwood Hawks outrebounded Hume City Broncos 41-29 including a 33-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Shaun Clarke (204) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and forward Matthew Fennell who added 18 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Four Ringwood Hawks players scored in double figures. Naturalized British guard Lee Jeka (193-83) responded with 30 points and 7 rebounds and forward Luke Egan (200-74, college: E.Washington) scored 23 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Despite that victory Ringwood Hawks went down to fourth position (League) due to points difference. Loser Hume City Broncos keep the seventh place with ten games lost. Ringwood Hawks will face Devils (#9) in Werribee in the next round where they are favorite. Hume City Broncos will play on the road against Diamond Valley Eagles in Greensborough and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
